In 2008 ethical clothing manufacturer howies founded the Do Lectures. It’s a simple idea; each year a group of doers are invited to talk and inspire others to go and do things. These talks range from small do's to extraordinary do's, but they all give inspiration, drive and hope for the attendees to go and do amazing things too.

The event took place at Fforest Farm in Cilegerran, between the spectacular Teifi Gorge and Teifi Marshes Nature reserve. Fforest Farm is unlike any other campsite, comprising Nomad tunnel tents, Swedish Kata Tipis and geodesic domes, all sited on elevated decks with communal cooking areas. The lectures all took place within a Giant Hat Tipi. With such an unusual range of venues, and stunning surrounding landscape this is a truly fantastic location for the Do Lectures.

As with any event planning and design is key. Working with unusual structures such as the Giant Hat Tipi requires detailed design and analysis, including structural loading design to ensure the structure remains safe. Lighting and sound systems were designed to make the most of the natural surrounding and provide excellent conference facilities to the speakers and the audience. Environmental impact was paramount in all decisions.
